+ Christmas Offers - Mother-to-be Treatments (13/12/2011 - 14:22:31)
At long last I've managed to update the website to include the Mother-to-be Treatments in the Christmas Special Offers.
The Movember Charity Event sees men across the globe pledging not to shave for the month of November to raise sponsorship for Prostrate Cancer Charities. But as the end of November is in sight many men will have grown attached to their new facial hair; while others will be itching (literally!) to shave. So for those that are not visiting their local Sweeney Todd, its time for the ‘shave-down’ and prepare the face for a traditional wet shave.
Step 1: Trim your
beard. It
can be painful to rip hair
more than 1” long from its follicle.
Step 2: Clean and wash your face. Maybe use an exfoliating scrub. Work in circular motions. This helps to keep the face clear of bacteria – less chance of infection should nick your skin with the razor.
Step 3: Soak a face cloth in hand-hot water, and place over your face. The heat & moisture will open the pores & soften the hair for easier shave.
Step 4: Time for the preparation. Gel, foam or oil. Spread over the face and work upwards in circular movements. This helps to lift the hair off the face and away from the skin.
Step 5: Next its the shave. Choose your weapon! A new razor blade and shaving with the direction of the hair growth will prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs. Pull the skin taut to minimise the trauma of the hair being pulled from the follicle. Working slowly will cause less irritation.
Step 6: A second sweep (applying more foam/gel if needed) can be done against the hair growth for a closer shave.
Step 7: Post-shave: shaving removes the top superficial layer of the skin so applying a moisturising product to hydrate is needed. An aftershave balm, moisturiser or shave oil will be the less harmful and prevent the skin from drying out.

Dropping temperatures and turning the central heating up can play havoc with our skin. Following a simple home care routine with regular salon facials will keep your skin glowing until Spring!
I’ve been using this product for a few months now. I’ve also ‘road tested’ it on a few of my regular facial clients as part of my Holistic Facial Treatment. It has been rated by the Times as one of the best facial treatments around today.
The products are 100% natural and organic and made in Cornwall. A unique heady blend of essential oils including eucalyptus and clary sage to regulate sebum and decongest pores. It has a rich, balmy texture which leaves your skin feeling silky smooth; and your complexion looking radiant!
What I like about this product is that its multifunctional. I’ve found it budges even the most stubborn waterproof mascara. Following a basic cleanse, I then use it as a deep cleansing facial masque. The beauty about this product is not only its multi-functional purpose; but the fact that very little is used. A little product really does go a long way!
So as a simple home routine to Winterproof your skin:
Take a small amount, (about the size of a pea) on your fingertips. Massage into your skin in small circular movements. Begin at your jaw line and work up to cheekbones. Paying particular attention around the corners of the mouth and nose. Sweep up to the forehead.
Take another small pea size amount, and work around the eyes area in circular movements taking care not to stretch the skin. You will now have a fine layer of cleanser that you are working into the skin to decongest those pores and remove the grime from the day.
Take another pea size amount to work in around the chest and neck areas, sweeping upwards with the palms of your hands to the jaw line. Leave the cleanser on for a minimum of two minutes to gain a deep cleansing effect.
Using hand hot water – bathe a hot cloth for a minute or two, while you use cotton pads dampened in the same hand hot water to remove the cleanser from the eye area. Now wring out the hot cloth and remove the cleanser from the rest of your face, chest and neck area.
The hot cloth is needed to remove the balm type cleanser and perform an exfoliation action on the skin; leaving your feeling deeply cleansed and looking radiant!
